Phase 1 Rendering of the Botanic Garden of Western Pennsylvania
Western Pennsylvania is the only metropolitan region of its size in the United States without an outdoor botanic garden. Botanic gardens are destinations that stimulate cultural, educational and economic enrichment far beyond their boundaries. Botanic gardens celebrate plants in beautiful and educational outdoor settings. While serving the needs of the community by displaying regionally hardy plants, the garden will offer dramatic color, outdoor classrooms, spectacular vistas, woodland walks, environmental "laboratories" and special venues for cultural and social events.
