| You Are Needed! We, at the Botanic Garden, have many volunteer opportunities available for you. Botanic Garden Presentations: We receive several requests every year from garden clubs and civic organizations for programming at their meetings. At the moment we don’t have enough speakers to fulfill all of the requests we have. If you feel comfortable speaking before groups and would like to help spread the word about the Botanic Garden of Western PA, give us a call. We will train you and provide all of the materials you need. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of new people, promote the Botanic Garden as well as have fun! Work with One of
Our Event Committees The Open Gardens Day Tour: Work on this committee, organizing the “Premiere Garden Tour of Pittsburgh.” Volunteers are needed to help find the gardens, act as liaison with the garden owners, or work in the gardens the day of the tour. We have a need for volunteers willing to take on any number of tasks to keep this tour the talk of the town. “The Party In The Garden!”: Committee Members are needed to help organize this high-end event held in one spectacular garden in the area. Many components are necessary to make this special night come together—you probably have the skills we need to make this event another success! Work with the staff in the office: There’s always something that needs to be done in the office—from data entry to stuffing envelopes—we have something for you to do that will give you a sense of accomplishment and help us at the same time. Come on in—the staff is fun!
